Here is a simple strategy you can use to pass any exam.
I have used this strategy on students who want to do well in SATS, pass 11+ exams, entrance exams, GCSE and A’Level.
I also used this my entire education life. Especially when I failed the first year of University doing biology!
STEP 1 – Find past exam papers. Look for past exam papers online, the library, from friends, family who have taken this exam. Also get hold of the answers.
STEP 2 – Do the paper. Try to answer as many questions as possible. Look at the answers if you can’t work it out. Ask people around you who can help you. Add up the marks for the questions you can do.
STEP 3 – Ask your teacher. If your immediate family can’t help you with the questions you got wrong, it’s time to ask your teacher. Ask at break time, lunch time or after school. They usually don’t like disturbance during teaching hours.
STEP 4 – Do the paper again. This time, time yourself when you do it again. Add up all the correct answers and check the mark against the first time. Find out where you went wrong on the incorrect questions and make sure you can do it because…
STEP 5 – You will do it again. Do the same process by timing yourself. Mark it and check it against the other two times. This grade should be good and definitely a pass mark. Now do the whole process again with as many more exam papers as possible.
This may seem like a long and tedious process, but this is also the process we use to get an A* in GCSE math’s. Let me know if this is what you did. Or did you use another method. Are you gifted and talented and did absolutely nothing at all? Or not gifted and talented but still did nothing at all!
