I was reminiscing the time I spent in 6th form at Wirral Grammar school. It wasn’t pleasant…from an eager, student who wants to well, point of view.

I came from a comp, Prenton High. The best days of my life. Before I left, Mrs Thompson, our English teacher said, “Raks, I can’t wait to see your column in the paper.”

Can you imagine her face and disappointment when I said I was going down the maths route!

Of course, you have to take 3 A’Levels. So Chemistry and Biology won the short straw.

I was so rubbish in Chemistry, so BAD, I had TWO tutors. A mature gentleman, and a young chap. After a month, I heard the young guy had committed suicide. Surely, I couldn’t have been that bad! 😯

Anyway, Wirral Grammar, my Chemistry teacher knew without a shadow of a doubt, that I would…fail.

At the end of class, she said to me, “Ms Rahman, I think you should leave and get a job.” ☹

Now, I did leave. Not because Mrs Storr told me to, but because there are options. Better options. I found that better option.

Here I am today. I’m happy, plodding along, serving you as best as I can.

You can quote me, “We can cry over what people say to us, or we can take it with a pinch of salt…and move on” Rakiya Rahman

Lets move on.

If you find that your year group in the timetable has filled up, I am really sorry, but remember the moral of the story was…there are always options.

Maybe, there is another tutor waiting for you out there.

We also have options, you just have to ask.

Who do you know, who wants an A* in GCSE maths? Give them my number, you could be someone’s saving grace. 07877216783

“Finally! How to get an A* in GCSE maths without working too hard!” (…in exactly 4 steps and 36 days. DM FOR DETAILS.)
